In November 2008, SeaShell Awnings USA completed extensive wind testing in order to validate and test the SeaShell's patented MagnaLoc technology that retracts the awning, in less than 4 seconds, when wind speeds reach 35mph

After tests at a multitude of speeds the day culminated in an extreme speed test at 95 mph (the maximum speed capable at the testing facility).

After 20 minutes at that speed the test was aborted and the SeaShell Radial Awning survived without damage.
