Imanginaryskyfriend, im curious, I understand and respect your opinions, however I don't understand how homosexuality can be "not a choice". Looking at it scientifically, it makes no sense for homosexuality to be a gene, because if you were "programmed" by genetics to be gay, there is no procreation and survival. Please let me know what you think about this.
No gay person I've ever met has told me they made a choice, it's just who and what they are. If 100% of the population was homosexual then, yes, the human race would have died out long ago. But only a percentage of the population is. And homosexual behavior has been documented in many animal species, not just humans. Considering that the planet is now overpopulated, homosexuality is increasingly a good thing, as it keeps the population down. It's nature's birth control!
