I had never heard of Gade until our orchestra's conductor produced the parts the other day. This is so much my kind of music. Mid Victorian, large sound (and, from my pov good horn parts, esp. when all four horns belt it out in bar 53). Beautifully played and excellent choice of image. A+ CM.

I first heard gade quite by accident on Radio 3 about 15 years ago.. What an awesome but underestimated composer he was..

A lot of dead composers achieve more fame. Gade deserves more acknowledgement.
