Jumping For Freedom - Israel At 60

190 paratroopers from armies all over the world participated in the Freedom Jump in the framework of Israel's 60th anniversary celebrations. The paratroopers, from the US, England,, France, Spain, Germany, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Singapore, South Africa, Canada, Greece, Italy and Switzerland, gathered at Palmahim Beach on Monday. My husband and I jumped the Freedom Jump 2008 into the Meditteranean at Ashkelon on may 8th with all the other Paratroopers from 16 countries and it was great !!!

I have a question. I am making Aliyah from the us and joining the IDF. It's my dream to be a paratrooper but as a girl I thought I was not allowed, but this video shows a female paratrooper. Is she just an officer who trains the paratroopers how to jump, or is she an actual combat paratrooper?

israel deserves the freedom it got beause it contributed much more to the world in the field of sciences, mathematics, defense, economy and agriculture in the past 60 years than all the arab states in the middle east combined in the past 2 centuries.
