I WANT THE PEN!!!!
-
i bet its a bait and switch. 'sure' he says its 59 cents...but I'll bet when I order they will only have the 69 cent or the 74 cent model available. then there is the shipping AND they will only be able to process it through a credit card. A hidden handling charge will probably add a few pennies. Plus, I bet it will only work for 3 months before I need to 'upgrade'. I'm sure the paper makes a difference, and the smoothness is subjective. Does it come with a warranty? I've been taken before :)JJ

I had to hold myself to the furniture to resist trying to grab the pen. The sound of the pen. The look of the pen...who am I kidding...even the smell of the pen. That's a sex magnet friends. You want this pen.

why pay 59 cents for a pen when u can just ask to borrow one from your mate for free and u dont need a fancy pen u just need a pen to right something as long as u can c what u have rittern it will be fine

Back in the day we used to have people interviewing for our sales jobs sell us back our pen...very interesting interaction.
Very nice video!
Never ask them "Do you want to buy it?" Instead, assume the sale and ask them questions and use soft closes. Look up soft closing!

@shakeitbeforeubakeit I can see that working as well, depending on the situation - thanks for sharing! I like the idea of a 'soft close' once you know that the buyer is clearly on board. Equally, I wouldn't say 'never' ask them a direct yes or no question about whether they want to buy it. It's a good way of getting a definite 'yes' or a 'no' that you can then work on to find out why, and hopefully change their mind. So I reckon both closing styles are better than just one.

@DeryckBanks maybe in different contexts of the different things people sale you might be right. However, I can safely say that you should never go through your whole pitch and then just run out of things to say and just go so do you want it?

@shakeitbeforeubakeit that is very true! Can you imagine how clunky and embarrassing that would be! Do you think it is best avoided at all cost? Or could it be used only under certain conditions - e.g. if a customer is taking a lot of time and it is hard to read/see whether they are serious about buying from you?

Some selling tips.. (1) Be interesting (2) Let the product sell itself - emphasize the benefits (3) Remember the purchaser is rating you as well as the product (4) Let them play with the product (5) Ask them what they like about it (6) Ask them how they might use the product (7) Ask them what the benefits of using the product might be (8) Ask them if they want to buy the product (9) If yes, agree price (10) If no, ask why not (11) Discuss how or if the 'No' could become a 'Yes'
