I had thought Kissen's interpretation best understood the heart of this music, but I had not heard Rachmaninov's until now. Brings tears to my eyes to listen to this heartrending piece at the hands of the master.

I don't like most comments like "that one is better than this one". I don't see the point of it! If you like it, or love it, say it, if you don't, why not just scroll away!? A wonderful performance of this hauntingly beautiful piece. I also recommend the performance by Guiomar Novaes on an old Vox LP of her encores, if you can get it (I remember it from my childhood).
