Awesome Rangers II: Visual Effects Test

"Awesome Rangers 2" is a comedic short film shown at the last Anime Nebraskon. After seeing it here on YouTube, I thought that some of the visual effects were not what they could've been; so I've redone a few shots here, the teleportation (previously a simple dissolve transition) and the Morphing sequence (previously a series of straight cuts.) Hopefully, I'll have an opportunity to work on the next AR - I had fun with this :D

Also, I pulled the original video straight off of YouTube, so the video quality is quite awful. 0_o

Granted, the entire movie (all 7 clips anyway) were created within a month and a half time.

There wasn't much time for serious graphic development on any CGI. They had to work with what they could in that short time frame. :P

Oh, I know. Considering the time frame, it's really an excellent short. I only did this for a bit of fun, and to see what I could do in the event that I got to work on the next one. At any rate, the effects in this video only took me a few hours of free time to complete. I cetainly don't mean to ruffle any feathers 0_o

That was totally lame and cheesy (no offense, but I'm not really a fan of of that girlish dialect), but I guess that's what the modern power rangers shows are about. :( SUPER SENTAI FTW!
