Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and how better to celebrate your love than to curl up with a good comic book abour l'amour! We've got comics that cater to the love, be it Strangers in Paradise to Blankets to Preacher to Green Arrow/Black Canary, where there are comics, there's usually love!
Love you guys. You know your stuff and you make learning about comics fun. Thanks.

No, Kirby wasn't the Millie The Model guy. That was Romita Sr.

If you actually want romance comics that are both real and entertaining, read "Love and Rockets" by the Hernandez brothers. They're all in print, and cheap, from Fantagraphics books. Also try a bunch of other titles from Fantagraphics, Drawn and Quarterly, and maybe Picturebox or Beunaventura. If it is autobiographical and from one of these publishers, you are in for something good.

How did you choose the titles to review for this? It is like you made a list of all the recent comics with romantic themes, threw out the top half and reviewed the best of what was left. Only Blankets is really decent, and I didn't enjoy it. I thought the "blanket" symbol was weak and the romance was misguided and shallow. It does have great art and is well constructed, though.

That was great! I was on the fence with Blankets but now I'm gonna check it out!
