To galvanize support for the Millennium Development Goals, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has established an MDG Advocacy Group of eminent personalities who have shown outstanding leadership in promoting the implementation of the Goals. The MDG Advocacy Group will support the Secretary-General in building political will and mobilizing global action to make the MDG Summit a turning point in our collective effort to achieve the Goals by the 2015 target date.

The UN MDG Advocates speak about what they're going to do to ensure that the MDGs are achieved, and how the world would be a different place if the Goals were achieved. UN Foundation Founder and Chairman Ted Turner is a member of the MDG Advocacy Group and UN Foundation CEO Kathy Calvin speaks on behalf of Mr. Ted Turner at the first meeting of the MDG Advocacy Group in Madrid on July 16, 2010.

  • MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS are very important for humanity : we all need to be more active in promoting MDG if the Goals are to be achieved until 2015. We participated in educational panel discussion on MDG : Gender equality & empowerment of women, at uvs.gov.si where Danish and Norvegian ambassadors in Slovenia were very supportive . H.E.
