Kobe Doin' Work-Part 1/9 [HD]

For most of us, a day at the office is never accompanied by media interviews and roaring crowds. For Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant, though, this is just a routine part of his job.

In the spring of 2008, with the Lakers set to face off against the San Antonio Spurs in a late-season game with major playoff implications, legendary filmmaker and conspicuous sports fan Spike Lee took the opportunity to show what its like for a top athlete like Kobe to go to work.

With unprecedented access, Lee follows him from his arrival at the Staples Center through team meetings and pregame warm-ups, during the game itself, and at the end of his day as he, his wife, and his kids get in the car to drive home.

@Disposable5 Lol never had a winning record?? from 87-88 to 1990 before the first 3 peat they had a winning record...LOL 2 of which were 50 win seasons. Oh and yeah i know every great player needs a great team to win it all but Jordan took 2 basically scrub teams to the east finals twice in a row against the bad boy pistons. Kobe had scrub teams from 05-07 and couldnt get past the first round. He even blew a 3-1 series lead aginst PHX one year. His rings are owed to gasol and shaq.

@TaylorAA23 How are you sure that jordan would of won a championship without pippen, thats a pretty stupid statement to make since it never happened. Every great player needs other great players to win a ring, its as simple as that. But then again, jordans first 6 years in the league, he never had a winning record until pippen became an allstar and phil jackson became coach.

@Disposable5 I never said he did it himslef, I said in a previous comment that pippen was great and an important player but im sure jordan woulda got it done at LEAST twice without pippen, unlike KoMe (Glorified T-Mac) Bryant who cant do anything without a bigt man down low.

@TaylorAA23 jordan said himself that pippen was the difference maker. And what about the bulls winning 55 games without jordan in the 93-94 season, led by pippen. Jordan maybe the greatest ever, but he never ever did it himself.

@paolocruz24 And yeah, kobe was important to those playoff runs, but Im sure LAL coulda got any scoring guard seeing as they are arguably the biggest market in the league lol. Kobe was and is a glorified T-Mac. Like i said in my oriiginal comment, both are great scorers. Without Gasol, kobe would be stuck at 3 rings still, and had he never come to LA and stayed in charlotte or whereever , i can guarantee that he'd be ringless

@paolocruz24 Lol, Dwade was the clear leader of that 06' Miami team, unlike where as kobe is 2nd in charge. Oh and scottie pippen wasnt the difference maker, hes an amazing player but Jordan was still the clear leader of the team, unlike kobe. Also, Rodman didnt get to Chicago till 95-96, and he was important to that 3peat, but its not like jordan still couldnt have won without him....91-93
