No, i wasn't talking about a label. i'm talking about things YOU are going to have to pay if your independent.

Labels usually take care of the other stuff, but connections and having a good business mentality will definitely aid alot of the hard work of running a music business, i'm just a 20 year old music major, and i like production, i don't do alot of hip-hop, but i've been in a few shows, and that's what independent bands have told me.

and all that money you get from the label you gotta pay them back. what if your music doesn't sell and you cant pay back the front money. you get dropped from the label. thats why you see so many one hit wonders now days. if you cant come out with consistent hits then the major label has no need for you. alot of former mainstream artists are doing it independently now.
