.. man i'll just say one thing... look up ATi's website.. you cannot mix a X1950XT with a HD4850.... you cannot mix a DX10 card with a DX9.. simple as that ... you retarded fuck

Actually an HD4850 WILL combine with HD4870 but the 70 will downclock to mach the 4850, so there is really no point.

I had a HD4850 and damn did the fan get loud after about a year or so. Sounded like a fucking jet.

Asus P5Q-E is 2 times 8x but for HD4850 it is not a big problem.

rlaginha1 can u please try it crossfireing 48xx with 38xx and tell us if it works and if the performance is good plz coz i dont wanna dump my 3870 >_>

I have read that crossfire with 38XX is not possible. Didnt tested yet.

HEY rlaginha1 can u please tell me how much power supply is needed to run both of those cards in that system and if u can find out and tell me if the 4870 or 4850 is compatiable to crossfire with the old HD3870 ^_^
