  • Please let us stop critiquing the program. At least the govt. is trying to do something. I have realized that nobody likes change including the slum dwellers. Their slum dwelling should be demolished in exchange of the new projects!

  • This an ill conceived project and must be stopped at all costs. The government should not destroy informal settlements only to buld new slums, abeit with stones. Moreover, the full impact of this project is such that the intended beneficiaries are unlikely to benefit, in fact they will be made worse off. May the government also remember that such programs as were carried out in mathare valley, soweto, kariobangi north has not improved the living standards and or conditions in these places any

  • They were given land in 1901? Leases in Nairobi last for 100 years.

  • Damn, these people are they so used to the filth n the sewers of Kibera that they can't live without it. Kibera is eyeshore and a disturbing sight to Nairobians yet these people dont want to move to better houses. They should be forced to and those filthy slums demolished.
