http://www.askmisterwizard.com/EZINE/WirelessNetworking.htm It's VERY easy to enhance an existing, wired Ethernet LAN to make all of its services available via WiFi. This brief video clip shows exactly how I used a "Wireless Travel Router" in "Access Point" mode to do so in a hotel room. Any Wireless Access Point can be used in the same way. The illustrated technique is so simple that it requires NO software configuration at all. It's strictly "plug and go". However, unless steps are taken to encrypt the traffic, the resulting WiFi network will be open to the public and could be accessed by anybody using industry-standard WiFi equipment within a range of several hundred feet. The clip references other clips that can help with this encryption task. This clip is an updated version of a very popular and similar clip, with a similar name, from AskMisterWizard.com.
