Right you are! Which is why no one reads The Illiad, The Tempest, or War And Peace anymore.

Once we get a movie, Channing Tatum should play John Carter and Megan Fox should play Dejah Thoris.

yes and what is enthralling for adults?

i suppose a man being utterly emotionally crushed when his wife is trapped in a situation in which she will be forced either to cannibalize her roomates or be canibalized herself

    is just too childish

the setting and the characters are not what makes things childish

you are an idiot and i hope you get herpes

You dont even need to buy them since they are now public domain because Burrough's has been dead a long time. Im read them all on my phone atm.. But the stories of space pirates and heros and princesses are really for 13 year olds.. the style of the writing is not enthrawling for adults.. boys yes..

I would go see it. Not sure if it could be as good as the books, but I would love to see this on film
