YOU CAN HEAR MY ORIGINAL WORK AT www.soundcloud.com/geek180

15 minute section from my live set. All loops 100% made by me and taken from my two songs "Earth Grind" & "Feel the Break". Entire set produced in Logic and performed in Ableton Live. Controllers: Akai APC40 & 2 Behringer BCR 2000's.

Yes I realize I do goofy things while performing, I never realized how dumb I looked, but you could say I was having a good day.

I'm looking to start performing shows in the Dallas/Fort Worth area! Please contact me at geek180@gmail.com for booking!

Thanks for watching!

  • oh my god !!!!

    you are my hero

i just got ableton and im buying an apc 40 just cuz of this.

    how did u learn?

how long u been using ableton?

where do i start to learn.

    holy shit man ur amazing!!!!!!

  • How did I learn? I just spent a few weeks playing in Ableton. But it took me several months to produce all the music you hear, in Logic. The best way to learn is just play and experiment around with it.

  • @geek180 good work doood. you said you produced this in logic. i'm doing the same thing with fl studio. when you bring the music over from logic to ableton, do you use the midi notes you created in logic with abletons instruments, or do you use soundclips exported from logic? i am new to ableton and i dont know what works best. please let me know.

and what are those two effects controllers on either side of the apc?

  • @aeiouilikesexandcook No way, I would basically have to reconstruct the entire song, with effects and automation and everything, again in Ableton. No, for this I exported each instrument to individual audio samples

Now a new thing I'm doing is splitting the songs into 2 tracks: Drum tracks in one and everything else in the other. I have an additional few tracks in Ableton for effects and extra sounds. This way I don't need to use the APC nor both BCR's. Just one BCR.

  • Nice set, man! But how were you able to upload a 15 min video?

  • nice:) I've niticed yours bcr change position on the end;)

  • geek180 you rock man! I use the APC 40 as well, Ableton is an amazing program isnt it? So what are those two other controllers you have? Are they standalone units or did you map them to ableton as well??

  • pretty nice stuff , man :]

    keep producin'

  • Please, never stop making music. Your stuff is awesome

  • very nice, what VST's? Your Beheringers controlling effects rather than using the apc40? Looks like better access to track effects that way.

  • I started playing piano when I was 16, about 3 years ago. And I've only started doing electronic music for the past year. So I'm still all pretty new to this.

  • i see a piano in the background can u play piano, and did u learn to become good at the synth or out of intrest or from a really young age?
