i watched this documentary at the sinema festival of Thessaloniki....what I remember is that we were all SOOOO much amazed by Aynur Dogan's Ahmedo (what a voice, Panagia moy!!!) and I also liked this song...I'm glad I found both on YT...!!!

Fatih Akin is a great director. To my way of thinking, he is the best in Germany in modern times! (Er ist zurzeit der beste Regisseur in Deutschland!)
He deserved all awards in 2004! (Best German & European Film, "Goldener Bär" - The Golden Bear, Crowd Favourite and more...)
Wonderful connection between story & music. Films with great actors/actresses & amazing stories. All worth of being seen!

It's a beautiful but sad song. A literal translation is almost impossible as you would have to learn Turkish to fully appreciate the words :-)
