What makes a Vornado Whole Room Heater so effective? Learn how innovative design features allow a Vornado Heater to safely and efficiently distribute heat through an entire room. With Auto Climate Control (available on select models) A Vornado regulates it's heat output and fan speed to maintain a precise room temperature. This is more efficient and more effective than tradtional heaters that cycle heat on and off to regulate rooom temperature.

  • Precisely - As you pointed out, heat tends to rise, so a heat source without quality circulation will attempt to heat a room from the top down. Not to mention that it will take some time for that heat to move horizontally through the space. With our unique airflow methods, and a precise system that adjusts the temperature of the heating element, and the fan speed (airflow) to maintain room temp, we are using that heat more effectively.

  • Every electric space heater is exactly 100% efficient. Every Watt used is converted to heat. There are no heaters that are more efficient than others.

  • @a1mint We certainly understand that 100% of the electrical energy is converted to heat - We would not debate that point. Consider that a toaster also converts 100% of the electricity consumed into heat... would you expect the toaster to work as well at heating a room as an electrical appliance designed specifically for that task? Our point is that the ability for the product to create AND distribute the heat drives how well the product works. It stems from engineering, not just watts consumed.

  • Innovative idea. Too bad Vornado makes overpriced garbage heaters that don't even last a year. I'll never buy one again and I'll make sure eveyone I know doesn't get suckered into buying your garbage.

  • @CatalinaSafari73 We are sorry to learn that you've had a bad experience with one of our products. Did you know that your heater has a 5 year warranty, meaning we'd replace or repair your heater at no cost to you within that timeframe? I'd encourage you to take advantage of our warranty on your model, and perhaps we can regain your confidence.

  • The main issue with fan-forced hot air heaters is that they blow cold air around until the room heats up. and a breeze blowing at 50-60 even 70 degrees, feels much colder than still air at those same temperatures.

  • Vornados are awesome!! Best portable heaters I've ever owned, looking to buy another.

  • It's interesting to find morons and trolls like "73" cruising informational sites like this one. I found his comments, "disturbing." I have happily owned my Vornado for four years now, without a problem. It's tough as nails, I've never babied it, and dropped it many times-- and it still functions perfectly. In fact, I just bought another one for the guest room. The cool air version works equally well and I've enjoyed that one for even longer. This guy's got emotional issues for sure.

  • @VornadoAir A toaster doesn't have enough power to heat a room. The heat of a space heater spreads through a room just fine using the moving / rising air flow that it naturally creates. A fan might help improve the uniformity of the heat distribution.

Is that what the Vornado does? With a fan and a thermostat?
