Indonesians turn to cycling to beat traffic

Commuters in Indonesia's capital are resorting to pedal power to beat Jakarta's notorious traffic jams.

But while cycling to work might seem like a healthy option, taking on the city's chaotic roads is another matter.

i live in a street where every day it gets congested because parents bring their children by car to school. biking is good for a hobby but it should be promoted at school as well.

Jakarta is the worst city in the world for traffic and public transportation management. All hell's breaks loose before and after office hours. The corrupt government systems don't really care for what happened. What awesome here is some of Jakarta's people don't just complaint. They don't want to be trapped helplessly in the traffic, wasting their time and money. The took action for themselves. They bike-to-work. Cool!
