So I'm actually happy with the outcome considering how slow MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 17 was for me on my computer. EXCEPT the jitters and shakes, so hopefully if you look past that, you will see what I intended to capture despite those little problems! But hey, we can't all afford the best of the best equipment right? Plus, this was my first time doing a music video of someone else that is not me, so I had full control of the camera and directing.

Just gotta keep practicing on this and it's all for fun!

STORYLINE in a NUTSHELL:
Kailey leaves the guy who brought heartache in beginning of the video and walks off with her bags. Soon later she realizes she's wearing the necklace he gave her, and it brings back some memories (which we forgot to record and include, so whatever!) Then she pulls it off and leaves it on the ground and later it shows her in a black dress, representing her that moved on and she places a black rose by the pocket watch necklace that represents their time together, which has come to an end obviously. Something like that.

THIS was all last minute, so hey, we're proud we came up with something in time to record yesterday.

Total time spent recording: about 2 hours.
Total time editing: about 6 hours. (STRAIGHT)

this is just beautiful. it's one of those videos where you get one long picture perfect shot after the other and you can wrap yourself in all the warm sadness like in a blanket.

the light is a big part of this. the super soft light behind the curtains, the cold and hard light of the leaving parts and then the warm sunset of the moved on parts, it all works so well!

kailey does such a great job acting and of course being ridiculously pretty. :)

@idontmatteratall Aww! That is a very lovely comment! And you explained it so well, and noticed the different lighting and I didn't even think of them that way. I intentionally chose each shot, but the way you described it makes me glad it's noticeable! :)

Yes, Kailey is amazing. She really does sing, and although we were unable to provide her version as we didn't make time to record... she knows how to show it while lip singing. :D

@RobertxJenks Ohh well, I used a monopod actually, but the times that I picked it up risked shaking, it just didn't seem that bad until I finished the video... So I dunno.. Right now I'm saving for a camera for when I do photography soo can't afford much, but I will definitely in the future look into better equipment if I continue to do music videos (which I plan to!) THANK you though!

look around for one of the an adjustable camera pole some shops sell used ones somewhat cheap , i used one for still shots when I could get around . they are easier to carry than a tripod to.

beautiful. you are gorgeous and the video is so symbolic and the acting is superb. if i didn't know better i would have thought this was a video made straight from the band themselves ;) keep up the perfect work

@SmallTownSisters3 Aww, thank you :) I tried fixing the shakes and jitters on my program, but it seemed to make it worse. Ugh! Must think of different ways to create movement.. hehe.

@SmarganM Haha yeah, it took us quite a while to decide on an idea and song as you may remember. But somehow it ended up being sad!

I must keep my photographer mind when it comes to choosing where to record, and it was almost like I was on a photo shoot! haha. :) Yes, Kailey is so pretty and was good at being serious with me , so I will most likely do another with her someday if she wants. ^^
