  • Awesome!! How deep was he? What time of year? What was the water temp?

  • Burbot was in about 12 feet of water, taken end of August, roughly 10 C (50 F)...

  • @Paraaronoid BURBOT = CUSK?

  • @PENNx1x08x Close, but not quite- burbot are in the same family as the Cusk (Lotidae - cod like fishes), but all other Lotidae including the Cusk are MARINE...These burbot (Lota lota) are the only freshwater species in that family. They are very tasty too!

  • where on diefenbaker are you fishing? is is by the rocks along the train tracks? on the moosejaw side?

  • WE HAVE CUSK IN THE LAKE I LIVE ON IN MAINE, I HAVE PICTURES OF ONE I CAUGHT IT WAS 19 INCHES, THEY ARE GREAT FRIED!
