No he is not from Spain. He is an American of Spanish ethnicity, The name Amendola derives from the Latin. Hence families of both Italian and Spanish ethnic backgrounds may have the sur-name, Amendola. Danny hails from "The Woodlands" a suburb of Houston Texas.

Amendola is a Latin based name. So yes there are Italians named Amendola, but I asked his brother Mike amedola what Ethnicity is his family and he told me the name Amendola is Spanish. The Amendola's of Woodland Texas have a Spanish/American background.
