@ChrisG40UK No ill informed people who have no real experience of the sport disagree with it, you have an idea that all animals are cute and fluffy. Do you really think the hares don't get chased naturally by a fox?The sport of hunting hares with dogs is far better for the species than shooting. The fit hares escape and breed improving the species and making them stronger, the weak hares get caught so they cannot pass on their genes. I think you should ridicule something else cos u know jackshit

A good lamp and a pair of good lurchers is the order of the day now, sorry meant order of the night. Coursers wont be stopped!

I'm wondering who the animals are? The hares and dogs or the people forcing them together in the hope that the dogs will catch the hare and tear it limb from limb in a horrific death!
If you all love death so much why not join the army and fuck off to Afghanistan and actually serve your country and the things you believe in so much?

@ poach4fun
Typical comment from a typical blood junkie. To ensure that there are enough hares to tear apart, they are transported to that particular event to provide the likes of you with a sick form of entertainment.

@scragster105 thats not true the waterloo cuo only ever used wild hares so if you see fit to comment make sure you know what your talking about

Can anyone explain what this wanton, un-acceptable cruelty is about ? It cannot be deemed as 'pest-control' as hares are netted and transported to the so-called 'sporting arena.' Therefore the 'pest' has been captured, only to be released again and torn apart by two dogs. Lets face it; it is a sick, barbaric, offensive, obscene activity carried out by a twisted minority. Just because; as it is so often claimed, to be 'tradition,' it does'nt mean to say that it's right.

how do you work that out ? lure coursing isnt a test on the dog or the hare OBV ... out of 65 slips there were 3 hares killed .. this sport has been around for generations and generations but you couldnt respect that .. now you have fox hunting and hare coursing banned .. whats the next sport you anti blood will hunt down and say its cruel to an animal ? answer me that please ...
the idea is not to kill the hares just cause them massive stress and suffering....this is not sport it is sick barbarity that was rightly banned. All decent minded people find this disgusting

no they dont. its dogs being dogs and hares being hares, most people dont mind either way, some people feel that it is wrong, and are very loud about it, probably more people actually fully support it than fully oppose it, but there are alot of people who will sway towards not liking it, simply because they dont understand it, and have misconceptions, such as the hares cannot escape, which is bullshit, but would make you think it was far more cruel.
