I guarantee the philosophy of "Efficient Dynamics" was not a consideration when the 328 was developed. For a museum spokesperson/BMW historian to say it was is pure propaganda as a way of promoting the new BMW marketing philosophy/catch phrase is disturbing as it doesn't preserve the reasons for how & why for these classic vehicles that hold their own regardless.

You´re probably right, but I am sure that already back then there were more and less efficient cars in termy of usage!
