Well, after about 20 mintues had gone by, another NS intemodal passes by on track 4 on the NS Fort Wayne Line with a saddening lash-up, a trio of C40-9W's and nothing but em. Then a few mintues later, as the train is passing by Island Ave. Yard, the location of the Allegheny Valley RR AVR-3. Well anyways, then another headlight is spotted and 2 more ugly catfish C40-9W's pass through leading the intermodal train on track 1 of the Conemaugh Line. Hint the abandoned track up above and next to the present day mainline?

  • Another nice one. I'll trade you the NS CW44-9's for the CSX ES44DC's! That second unit on the second train looks like an SD50.

  • Thanks Jim. And NO THANKS!! I get them ENOUGH here... the second train's second unit was an SD70

  • Good stuff. The solid lashups of catfish can be boring, but it does make for a clean capture of the exhaust sound when you catch them working hard. And consider the footage an investment in the future. I'm sure Pennsy fans got sick of seeing GP9s back in the day, but now we seek that stuff out. One of these days when Dash 9s are long gone it will all be worth it.

  • Thank You, and you spark an interesting point there. and you are probably well darn right with that, and you are right with us seeking out those units. Yep, in 10 or 15 years, well all notice that for sure..

  • nice job, i like this shot

  • Thanks Kodi
