  • hi, i have the same filter but with one bio ball compartment and i cant get the water level steady. the pump either doesnt suck the water out fast enough or when i adjust it, it slowly the pump the water level slowly decreases. i cant get it still. HELP ME!!!!!

  • @monsterman1122 - Do you have an overflow box on the tank? With an overflow box, the water draining down into the sump will always be equal to the water being pumped up to the tank from the pump. From the description of what the symptoms are this indicates to me that it is running on a direct siphon (draining water faster than the pump can return it or pumping water into the tank more quickly than the siphon can drain it). Do you have a photo of your setup?

  • @AqueonProducts @AqueonProducts Hey, i have a hang on external overflow with the "U" tube siphoning to the bottom and the pump is either too strong and suck the water out too fast, or when i adjust it not fast enough. Would you like me to post a video response of the problem?

  • @monsterman1122 A hang on overflow box uses a siphon to drain water from the inside of the aquarium to the outside part of the box. It has a limited amount of water it can siphon. So it is possible that he can pump water faster into the aquarium than it can drain out. A typical box with a 1” ID siphon tube (the standard U tube) can drain about 500 gph.

  • @monsterman1122 Properly setup, it is not possible for the overflow to drain more water than what is being pumped into the aquarium. The not fast enough comment leads me to believe that there is something wrong with the overflow box setup and it is setup as a direct siphon and not an overflow.

A video response would be good paying particular attention to all aspects of the overflow box since that is likely where the issue is.

  • I have to say I love aqueon products.

Where can I get this wet/dry-sump???
