I think Nota needed the show more than the Bubs; the guys from Tufts already have several albums available and a small cult following (which is now much, much larger).
On the other hand, some of the other groups who were not known and did not have the backing of a university music department needed the show more in order to get their name out there.
That said, I'd pay to see the Bubs before I'd pay to see just about any of the other groups.
