I agree with you paulad680 - why be so unkind. This group of people raised not only a good amount of money, but they also raised public conciousness to the plights of the people they raised it for - which will bring in more income and compassion for others. What is wrong with that?

I cant believe u! Its nice to see celebs donating their time for a worthy cause and yet here u are slating them!! Why dont u go climb that mountain if you think u can raise more?? Ur absolutely ridiculous considering the money they raised would provide millions of mosquito nets and save hundreds of lives. U have no sense of humanity.

I must admit when you compare it to David Walliams, who I'm not a fan of, then £1.4m does seem slightly disappointing - I'm not dissing the people who climbed, but do wonder if they're victims of the dreaded credit crunch? Well if all else fails, I'm sure Gordon Brown will bail them out and donate a few billion of our money for us - problem solved!!!

So...a dj with 7 million listeners, several singers from the most successful groups this country's ever produced, and they've only raised 1.4 million? David Walliams raised over 1 million on his own. The only reason they asked moyles is because they thought he'd get a truckload of money. Nevermind, it'll give him some much needed publicity for his forthcoming TV show (which will fail)
