"Juliet, I honestly can't find you!" I was looking around the airport for her and a sign that said 'Rae' but she was nowhere to be found.
"I'm right next to the East Exit. You'll see me, trust me." She assured me over the telephone.
I was walking around, following signs that pointed to the East Exit, and finally came to the last one that pointed left.
So I followed it, and sure enough there was the East Exit and Juliet waiting dressed in a grey wool coat with faded jeans and black boots with a sign reading 'RAE MY BEST FRIEND'.
She saw me and ran towards me and just grabbed me into a hug.
"Oh my God! You're here! How are you?" She exclaimed.
"I'm alright. How have you been, thanks for coming here to pick me up."
"I've been amazing," She said as we walked out of the airport, "You know how some people love L.A and think it's best?" I nodded, "Well I love Boston so much better. It feels more...quaint but yet so busy at the same time. You know?"
"Ha, not really but I can sort of see." I said as a cab pulled over for us.
"So, wait. Why have you been just 'alright'?" She asked as we climbed into the cab with my luggage.
"To...19th and Broadway at the Holly Suites please," I told the cab driver, "I've just been really complicated lately."
"Explain that, please." Juliet said while turning in her seat to face me.
"Well, Joe broke up with Delilah for me." I said.
"That's good! But why does it feel like it's bad?" She asked.
"I mean, I'm really happy that he did that. It's just... I don't want to be hurt again like that. I know it sounds really pathetic but-"
She interrupted me, "Rae, I only have one question. Do you love this boy?" She inquired.
"No...yes...no...maybe?" I stated.
"No, there is no maybe in this. Do you love him or not?" Her words were short and stern.
"Ugh, yes I do." I said, not happy with myself.
"Then why do you keep running away from him? He loves you and you love him. Love is all about taking a risk, you risk everything because you truly want to be with that one person. You've got to risk it all. It's all or nothin'." She told me.
"Yeah, I guess..."
"No, don't guess. You're going to talk to him again." It's like she was my mom telling me what to do.
"No, I'm not."
She groaned, "Rae! C'mon give the boy another chance, he loves you! Alright, let's make a deal."
"I really don't like this..."
"You'll love it. Now shut up and listen. Since you ran to the other side of the country, to a super busy city, he can't find you, correct?" I nodded again, "Well, if he finds you or you just happen to cross paths accidentally, you have to give him another chance. Even if you say you don't love him. Deal?"
It sounded alright since he'll probably never find me, "Fine. Deal."
And we shook on it.

"So you're just going to stay in a hotel room for the rest of your days in New York?" Juliet questioned as she walked in the room with me.
"No, um, do you remember Marisol Yates from high school?" I set my bag down on the bed.
"Yeah, why?" She sat down next to my bag.
"Well she owns a loft in Manhattan so I asked her if I could room with her until I get on my feet."
"You won't be able to stay with her forever though."
"I know, I'll rent an apartment and just figure out life from there."
She sighed.
"What?" Although I feel like I already knew.
"It's not what you want."
"It is though."
"Now, we both know that's a lie and we both know what you really want."
I looked down at the ground and whispered, "I can't help it."
I then started to tear up because I love him so much and I never wanted to let him go.
