The Galileo Educacional group is a publicly-held company born to maintain Higher Education institutions. It has the purpose of managing resources linked to educational activities, either owned by the company or by third-parties, including the conduction of activities in higher and continued education, with stricto and lato sensu graduate courses, activities in book editing and management of the intellectual capital deriving from its activities. Today Galileo has an operation Universidade Gama Filho, and it has recently incorporated UniverCidade (University of the City of Rio de Janeiro).
