An organization, in Illinois, that is not affiliated with the Government put up a nativity in the capital Rotunda this christmas season with permission from the Capital. Last year a jewish organization put up a Manora with the capitals permission. No government money has exchanged hands but sadly The Freedom from Religion Foundation had to play scrooge by putting up a sign that say's "there is no God." Then when someone stole the sign they replaced it with another one and put a sign that say's "Thou Shalt not Steal." It's funny how they claim there is not God but then turn around and refer to God's word. I'm sorry but you can't use some of the bible and throw out the rest, especially the most important peices.
please look at the video's in my favorites as well. They did the same thing when they put one in the washington capital only in springfield I think there is only one sign.
I sincerly appologize for the sound of my voice. I am not a professional recording artist or sound tech so I have no way of editing my voice. I have a certain type of voice that sounds horrible on recordings. I have tried everything from trying to be self conscious and speak in low tones. I have even tried taking a deep breath before talking as I have heard that it makes the voice sound deeper. maybe I need to develope my own form of diction in order to not sound like a squeaky little mouse. Bottom line is please don't give me any more grief about my voice on the video. I'll just delete them. In fact next year I might make a remake and try to convey a more deeper message. Don't worry i promise not to sing.
If anyone knows of any updates please comment and let me know what they are. I don't know if they put up the manger scene again or not. If they did I don't know if the sign was there or if the law suit forced them to change the wording.
I like your message. Know that you are not alone in your disappointment with the Freedom From Religion Foundation and other similar groups who choose to dismiss the importance of Christmas.
