  • No problem. Now in 2011 I recommend to clients and friends to migrate XP to Windows 7 (not Vista). Windows XP is a 10 year old technology, Windows 7 is more secure. With today current technology (like SSD) only supported in Windows 7, there is no sense in keep old windows xp systems.

  • You need a better camera. To far away and blury as?

  • @MrGoodguyNZ ... Thanks. I don't use any camera for this video. I just use the video capture feature of vmware. I believe the blur video is because the video resolution reduction in windows video editing software.

  • Thanx for the reply and explanation. :-)

  • @ThunderStruck1100 ... Avast and AVG are similar in security, but now in 2011, I see avast is better.

  • The best security in Windows enviroment can be achieved with Cisco Security Agent. I see scenarios where a computer protected with CSA do not even need an Antivirus. If you add Forescout and ASA to the network, you will have good protection.

  • I agree with you the number of downloads do not means is the best, but the balance between low resource consumption, easy to install/manage, etc put AVG as a very good option. I had two big networks one protected by AVAST and the other with McAfee and this networks was infected last week with the W32/Pinkslipbot!dll/Qbot virus. The only pcs not infected in the networks had AVG installed (lab computers).... do the math...

  • AVG is still the most downloaded security antivirus in CNET.

  • I see AVG with very good detection rates.... but the other day during a Terabyte scan I notice AVG do not detect nothing and Bit Defender detect a couple of generic trojans.... maybe a false positive...

  • I know AVAST is free for personal use but there is different opinions in what is better: AVAST or AVG... I believe AVASt have better detection engine (some people says they use Karpersky) but AVG works very good for me and partners for the last months.
