@aalderson Oops. I meant 5th (A) and 4th (D) strings in that first sentence. I always flip those. Someone please clean this up...

@SuperChibiFox He alternates picking between the 2nd (A) and 3rd (D) strings. He keeps his ring finger on the root of the C form chord (3rd fret of A string) and moves the note of the D string starting at the 3rd fret, then 2nd, then open twice. This transitions right back into the main riff. I know I made that sound tons more complicated than it is. Watch his right hand from :09 to :11 to at least get a feel for that side of things.
