  • One more thing. The bootleg album cover lists Danny Federici on organ but he was not in that band. After Steel Mill broke up in early 1971,he left the area to play with Bill Chinnock. He was replaced by David Sancious until the E Street Band was formed about a year and a half later in 1972 with Danny. Bruce added David in 1973.

  • Thank you for all your information, I'm glad I've met you!!...:-)

  • Hi MsBrucejuice, that band was a temporary band of friends from the Upstage Club. The members were: Bruce on guitar, Steve Van Zandt-guitar, Southside Johnny-harmonica,Garry Tallent-bass and tuba,Bobby Feigenbaum-1st sax, Albee Tellone 2nd sax and cowbell,Dave Sancious-keyboards,John Waasdorp-keyboards,Vini Lopez-drums,Bobby Williams-drums, Tinker-conga drum. We wanted to have 2 lead guitars and 2 drummers like the Allman Bros. Some of the members were later (and still are) in the E Street Band.

  • Thank you very much Albany Al:-)

  • Who wrote this song?

  • It's written by Bruce, sorry for the late reply, but there was not so much information of Dr.Zoom & The Sonic Boom until now!!!

  • @seashorerosie : Johnny Luraschi was in the Zoom Chorus on the day that this recording was made on a Sunday afternoon May 15,1971. They sang on about 5 or 6 songs. He wasn't a core band member and didn't play bass at all with the Zoom Band. That would have him singing on songs like Jumbeliah. I think he was also at the Sunshine In the night before, but he may have been playing at the Upstage. Some friends just came along for the ride. My memories of that weekend are not vivid.

  • @mandoalbee Albee, was Johnny in the band at this time?

  • its great we get to hear this stuff, albee!!!!!

  • @mandoalbee "He kicks, therefore he is"

  • Thank you. Glad I'm still kicking. Waasdorp and Williams are long gone.

  • Happy Belated Birthday Albany Al!
