I just got one of these, it has been up for two days with a couple of live plants. I have never tried live plants before so I am waiting to see what will happen. I love this tank. Very nice quality compared to what else is out there for the size and money. I really am a novice, it has 2 glo fish, two head light, tail lights, and an albino cat fish. The biggest problem I have has is getting the bubbles off the top. Yours looks great.

thanks for the update i enjoy hearing about how your tank is doing :-)

It's a 56 Gallon tank, well established with some huge filter area. Most of the fish are small so not much of a drain on the filter capacity. I feed sparingly and do very frequent (Every other day..) small water changes and one large water change about once every four to five weeks. Plants help water quality no end too.

I have released the guppies for about three months now in to the tank and they are looking just great.. Just search my other videos and you will see them swimming about. I have had to place the females into a smaller tank as they were permanently pregnat and I had nowhere to keep the fry!! :) Thanks for looking!

There permanently pregnant because there not really a freshwater fish they actually live in brackish water and only go in freshwater to BREED.

Guppies can be found in the wild in places like central america, brazil, trinidad and are often found in freshwater streams.. Captive guppies however (Tank bred..) may show up their colors better and be a little more resistant to the odd disease should a little salt be added.. (Because theyre in-bred and ergo weaker..) Can't say I've heard of wild guppies preffering or migrating to brackish in preference to freshwater but I'm always will ing to be educated if you can show me. :) TY for yr post!!

You are welcome. I like telling how they are doing too, at that point in time the water (You may have noticed was a little cloudy..) I've been working further on that problem and have managed to get it fairly crystal clear now..
The fry are almost big enough to go back into the main tank in a few days and I will be recording (and posting..) that event too! :)
Enjoy!
