In my opinion, the BEST year for '50s music. Sh-Boom is the first Doo-Wop #1 hit, Bill Haley hits top 10 with See You Later Alligator, Ray Charles hits with "I've Got A Woman", with the "Crooners" still hitting songs, and the "first wave" of girl groups- Chordettes, Fontane Sisters, and McGuire Sisters hitting it big.
