My first attempt at a LEGO Synchro drive robot built using the new technic beams rather than blocks. This one just drives in a rough square to test the steering and drive train.

  • I dont see the pint of building this... But i can never build this by my self :(

  • Hi, I built this as a test-bed for other robots. I'm adding ultrasonic sensors on so it can avoid obstacles more intelligently.

The advantage of a synchro-drive robot is that it can turn in-place to change direction.

I'll be adding building instructions to my website soon.

    Regards

  • We (three pupils) won a NXT contest in one of 16 lands in germany (We had to build a "soccer bot". on the pitch there were 10 oppositions. the task: score a goal!) by using the same idea. the different: we had 2 chassis. 1 motor to drive the one, the second to drive the other and one to change the chassis (up and down).

your robot looks very good! nice work!

  • u should put a holder on it so you can make it carry somthing

  • wow!!!!!!!!!

  • ¡impresionante¡

  • havnt been thinking about that though... But then itll be pretty funny to watch... You could make somekind of automatic hoover with it
