Montage - Forever Young: Gymnasts, Then and Now

My montage showing gymnasts life after they have left the sport, and where different paths have taken them.

Music was supposed to be "Forever Young", by Youth Group.

Featuring:

Marylou Retton (1984 Olympic AA Champion)-Mother for four daughters, motivational speaker, and a spokeswoman for many companies and brands.

Lilia Podkopayeva (1996 Olympic AA Champion)-Recently separated from her husband who she had two children with. She is the Ukrainian United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for HIV/AIDS, as well as being Ukraine's Ambassador of Sport to the Council of Europe. She is a qualified international brevet judge, coach, and has represented Ukraine at the Eurovision Dance Contest.

Svetlana Khorkina (Two time Olympic Bars Champion)-Has a son called Svyatoslav. Vice President of the Russian Artistic Gymnastics Federation, and Vice President of the Committee of Youth for United Russia.

Dominique Moceanu (1996 Olympic Team Champion)-Has two young children, daughter Carmen, and son Vincent. A coach, and motivational speaker.
Cathy Rigby (1970 World Beam Silver Medalist)-Mother of four, Commentator, and actress.

Andreea Raducan (2000 Olympic AA and Team Champion)-A sports announcer in Romania. She also has her own TV show and does modelling and other promotional work.

Olga Korbut (1976 Olympic Team, Beam and Floor Champion)-Currently lives in Arizona, USA, where she is a coach, and she has one son.

Liu Xuan (2000 Olympic Beam Champion)-Actress, Model, Singer, and Reporter.

Vanda Hadarean (European AA Bronze Medallist)-Coaching in Canada, and two consecutive Ms. World Fitness titles.

Nadia Comaneci (First gymnast to receive a Perfect 10)-Married to Bart Connor, and Mother to Dylan. Commentator, editor of International Gymnast magazine, and involved with many charity projects in the USA and Romania.

Amanda Bordon (1996 Olympic Team Champion)-Married, and has a daughter called McKenna. Coaches in her own gym, Gold Medal Gymnastics. Also commentates.

Carly Patterson (2004 Olympic AA Champion)-Singer. Recently released her single "Time to Wake Up".

Dominique Dawes (1996 Olympic Team Champion)-Has appeared in several music videos, and appeared on Broadway in Grease. She has served as President for the Women's Sports Foundation, been a Spokeswoman for a number of charities and campaigns, and visits gyms to conduct clinics.

Shannon Miller (1996 Olympic Team, and Beam Champion)-Host her own show "Gymnastics 360 with Shannon Miller". Is a professional speaker, broadcaster, and spokeswoman. She also works to fight childhood obesity and promote awareness of woman's cancers.

Dina Kochetkova (World Beam and Floor Champion)-Married and lives in Moscow. She works as a personal trainer.

Allana Slater (2003 World Team Bronze Medallist)-Has done some work as a Commentator, and has recently taken up pistol shooting. As of 2006, was aiming at being a Judge, Public and Motivational Speaker, and studying in a Medicine-related field.

This has to be the best gymnastics montage on YouTube. Not only do you have so many GREAT gymnasts in it, the editing and overall creation is fabulous. 10 thumbs up, NOT 17.566, because 10 is all we ever needed.
