Aug. 18 - Hewlett-Packard, the world's No. 1 personal computer maker says it may sell or spin-off the PC unit, and is shutting down production of its TouchPad device, and is also buying a software firm for $10 billion. Bobbi Rebell reports.
actually i disagree with HP of spunning the PC business, by surrendering it, its just creating a void a vacumm, chinese business will buy it out, its not bout making huge tons of profit, its creating an entry barrier, strategically postioning oneself to fend of competition. by selling it off its just like creating a 2nd IBM
I want the HP Touchpad so bad for me its one of the best tablets I've ever seen the only thing it lacks its the rear view camera but its ok with me and a appstore. There's only very few apps so there's not much support for the tablet.
i hope lenovo or huawei buys the HP PC business.
