Textron's Sensor Fuzed Weapon (SFW) in OIF B-52 attack

This is an animation explaining Textron's SFW in Operation Iraqi Freedom. This is awesome! Your tax dollars well spent. You wold not want to be an enemy of the USA on the receiving end of these things. Obviously the B-52 can carry a whole bunch of SFW-loaded cluster bombs. That must be why a lot of pinhead nations want to ban them. They don't want the US military to beat our enemies with impunity.

Klub Marcus is an idiot, nations want cluster bombs banned because of the dangers unexploded ordinance poses to civilians.

Most modern weapons have failsafes to prevent those. But many nations do not use modern weapons.

@jethromayham The sensors are designed to track vehicles, and the weapon isn't worthwhile except on armored vehicles. The Taliban didn't exactly have a lot of TANKS.

@williebruciestewie A MOAB is ineffective against armor, armor is designed to withstand that kind of thing. If it wasn't then the B-52 alpha strikes used in 1991 would have worked better.
