I got out of the Navy last year. This was my last big project that I did. It played at an awards ceremony when our ship won an award for excellence in maintenance.
I was onboard for the 96 and 97,98 cruise. IYAOYAS. AO Bailey G-1 Hanger bay crew in 96 and Flight deck crew in 97,98. I really miss those days aboard the old GDUB.
@bacaca88 You are misinformed. Japanese are not ungrateful to US. Japanese are strong allies of US. Fyi, in the Japanese Constitution, as well as my country Philippines, there is a provisions that says nuclear weapons are barred from entering the country. US policy is neither confirm or deny that her Navy carries nuclear weapons on board but many people suspect she does. That is the reason for the protests. Note also the rapes US sailors commit in Japan and other, like the Philippines
the united states is open enough to show how they did the maintenance for the top secret, even though it includes some strategy for the citizens. japanese tv media always repeated their narrow views based on the point nuclear fuel is not 100.0% safe.
It seems like the ungrateful Japanese do not want your ship in their country. It is a shame that they have nuclear power and are happy to 'ship' their nuclear waste to places like the UK for reprocessing, but cannot accept the Washington in their area which causes no nuclear waste. Hypocrites they 100% are.
@mainemilitia yeah i was in there from 98-02
