  • I got out of the Marine Corps about a month before this video was posted. My issued ILBE lasted me through Iraq and Afghanistan both. Swapped it out for a new one and managed to keep my old one and the new one when I got out. Very happy to have two of these, since I'll probably never have to buy a pack again in my life. I even got to keep the instert bag, which is, in fact, as good as Dave says it is.

  • Thanks for your review of this bag and liner combo. It almost sounds like it might not be a bad idea to have a couple of these liners on hand (one to keep inside the pack to keep your items dry, and another to use as signaling device, floatation device, or just an extra container if needed).

  • @Pkilla1029 I was going to say the same thing! :D

  • AMAZING video!! Is this the second gereration pack?

  • forgot to mention the bag insert can be used as a water catch, great video keep up the good work :)

  • I just purchased both of these and although I haven't been able to use it yet - I am pretty thrilled with the pack. I got the Seal Line bag for this pack (65 liters) off Amazon but was a little disappointed that it wasn't orange on the inside - it's the same color as the outside of the bag. So, I'm not sure if they stopped making them with the orange interior or what but you may want to contact the seller beforehand and confirm - if the orange interior is something you really want.

  • or you can leave the willie p bag inside the pack and use the pack as a larger floatation platform.

  • i love ya but, they have pills out there to help you calm down.

  • there is a smaller day pack that you can strap to the back of the main pack that is really great for essentials that you might need when traveling small distances from camp

  • what is the weight of the pack?
