1:43 That house must really hate moving.

I live 40 miles from the Seawall in Houston, and I have many friends and relatives OTI. Ike hurt us, but we banded together to overcome the hard times...and we did. I just wish we could all remain as tightly bound in peaceful times as we seem to be in trying ones. If there was anything good about Ike, the way people came together and helped each other instead of tearing into each other like in other hurricane situations, the world would be a better place.

i live in georgia but this still brings tears to my eyes just seeing what happened that day on the weather channel one guy said he just wished he had water

brought tears to my eyes. I live in the woodlands, and it was my 1st hurricane experience. I never want to go through that again.

I live in Freeport. We were on the southwest side of Ike when it came roaring in. I've been though Alicia and some bad Tropical Storms, but I will never forget Ike as long as I live.

@golfmom108 Thank you golfmom108!!!!!
I am from Edmonton, Alberta Canada and I was in Texas a couple months ago, it broke my heart to see the damage done by Ike. So many places still suffering. Years ago we had a tornado blast through our city and somehow, people do manage to band together and help one an other. it is very beautiful down in Texas and it was my first but not last visit! Bless each and every one of you that held on to a positive attitude!
Absolutelly awesome? Who is the singer? Sounds familiar.

@tshelly1623 The song is by Casting Crowns and is called Praise You In This Storm. It seemed like an appropriate song to use.
