Still love the original by Leonard Cohen the best!!!!!

todays date 9/3/11 TEN YEARS AGO THOSE COWARDLY BASTARDS HIT US. I'M SURE MR. CALE HATES THEM AS MUCH AS ANYONE, AMERICAN OR NOT. MAY ALL THOSE BASTARDS REST IN HELL.
-
how could anyone dislike this? this is my fave song!!
-
@sonofsilence Then awesomeness knows no nationality.
-
@CainTheMain considering the song has a leniency toward being about bondage as Leonard Cohen intended then it's hardly about righteousness. Don't be fooled by the chorus.
-
@sonofsilence Point, but I'm sure the video is for the song itself, not the singer. Righteousness knows no nationality when all are under one kingdom.
-
I really doubt that John Cale is happy about this video since he is not American and
he is intelligent enough to be against what US doing to others.

Now ya never show it to me do ya?....

this is by far trhe best version. Even's better than Buckley's. I don't know about the video though. What has America got to do with it. Especially when he's Welsh.

I'm not really religious in any way, but was truly moved by this video- brought me to tears! I love this song and I think the images really show a contrast between the beauty and the suffering that exist in the world...
I also love Jeff Buckley's version. The video is a great tribute to a man with an amazing voice.
