  • The pictus ctafish do not get bothered by the bigger fish?! I currently added 3 pictus catfish to my 55 gallon which has a 3 and 1/2 inch Oscar. I hear that Oscars will get a lot more aggressive and may eat or attack the pictus once fully grown. Is this true? Also I am adding a cave for the pictus to hide in, good or bad idea? Great video and nice aquarium :)

  • @OrangeEverything no, they all leave them be. if ur oscar grows up with them in the tank then they'll be fine when its bigger. they dont really like caves, tunnels would be best.

  • I have some cixhlid fry about 1cm and the biggest being bout 3 cm will the puctus catfish try to eat them ir are the just alge eaters thanks

  • @drakeybabe pictus cats are omnivores and will eat small fish.

  • are they better alone or in groups?

  • @TheBasketballegend Definatly groups, they are schooling fish and wont feel safe by themselves

  • @DrPirateDinosaur That is what I originally thought as well. But I think that because (from what I understand) they grew up together plus the fact that there are other much bigger fish, his aggression is greatly reduced. I am sure that the owner of these fish is responsible and will remove the catfish if he sees any signs of aggression toward the catfish :)

  • @OrangeEverything the other guys wrong. Your Oscar will destroy the catfish. may not be now or for a year to three years but its going to happen. As the Oscar gets older he will get more and more aggressive. At younger ages they can fool people into thinking there docile or that your particular Oscar is docile. It's just not so. Get another tank and good luck.

  • One of my all time favorite catfish. yours look great plenty of room to swim around very important for a highly active fish

  • Nice! The pictus is one of the most beautiful fish in the hobby, imo.

  • What size of tank? In gallons

  • It's a Bala Shark ^_^

  • the one by to the right of the oscar skimming the wall

  • what kind of catifsh or shark is that at 0:38

  • @OrangeEverything Add the cave will be a awsome idea i have a cave in my tank and the love it. BTW lovely fish
