  • @narutonemisis3 As a behavioural scientist, i am curious to understand what history figures you consider insane (given that insanity is few and far between). My problem with ledger was this, the planning of tasks, using bombs as opposed to chemicals, leaving leeway for salvation all point to riddler not joker, the fact they said they couldnt get a facial or fingerprint match hmmm tried taking his gloves n make up off 1st. The Dark Knight isnt as smart a movie as it likes to think it is.

  • @narutonemisis3 i apolagise you did indeed say the cartoon was based off it and not the other way around. However, you have to remember the joker doesnt plan he does what he wants (i.e. in the red hood storyline and joker graphic novel). The joker is a paradigm of batman brought in as the lighter hurmoured counterpart (albeit it evil). Back story wise i was talking about the similarities to Burtons Batman and The Killing Joke.

  • @iamcommonasmuck And the fact that Ledgr seemed focused doesnt mean he wasn't insane, some of the worlds biggest known men of history were insane. As for the back story of Joker killing his parents, it seemed redundant to have that rather then the seperate killer but honestly I saw that as the only thing other then Vicky that connected them at all. The Jokers back story and origin have been changed many times but it seemed a little silly to me, like they thru it in there just for the sake of it.

  • @iamcommonasmuck no, I said the animated Joker was BASED off Nicholson's interpretetaion in the movie. The problem I had with that interpretation was the fact that he seemed...to cartoony for the movie. Joker within the comics and other media has always sought to bring Batman to his 'level' or something close to it, with Ledger you could easily see this but with Nicholson...h just didn't seem to match up with Btaman in the film as he was more concerned with getting Vicky Vale then anything else.

  • @narutonemisis3 Nicholsons joker wasnt based on the animated series. I personally would say that Nicolsons was truer than Ledgers. I mean yes he was comical but he was creepy, when he killed that guy in his office n spoke to his corpse that was kinda twisted. He also was more concerned with entertaining himself than proving a point. Ledgers was too focused to be considered insane. Plus the Burton film managed to incorporate a fair amount of his back story. Ledger was closer to riddler than joker

  • NOLAN NOLAN CHRIS CHRIS NOLAN NOLAN CHRIS CHRIS!! Hilarious!!

  • @FEVERPITCHROCKNROLL i think you need to go to an asylum

  • damn Ron Paul ads...

  • @bengalifan Yes, actually. I thought Ledger's Joker was quite funny, in fact. But then, maybe I have a sick sense of humour...

  • @ShatteredPsyche seriously?
