Dave is a genuinely cool dude. After a show, one of my guitar students went behind the place they played at in Chicago and met him. This was during the So far So good So what tour. He said Dave invited him in their tour bus to hang out for a while, which he did of course. He got to meet all the guys in the band. He said Dave was down to Earth and treated him more like a friend than just a fan.
