Look ma', one hand! This video clip features a Falcon Security Group PSD (Personal Security Detail) operator/instructor full-auto-firing a select-fire/FERFRANS Specialties short-stroke gas piston/op-rod SOAR AR SBR (Short Barreled Rifle) one-handed (off-hand shooting) at steel targets while protecting the principal behind him during a contact drill (in this case, just a firing drill) at the range. Notice the pinging sounds as he hits his target(s). It's always nice to have audible feedback.

"SOAR" stands for "Special Operations Assault Rifle". The weapon being fired is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO (5.56mm NATO)/.223 Rem. and sports a 10.5" barrel. Like all FERFRANS select-fire weapons, the SOAR SBR featured utilizes FERFRANS' patented Rate Reduction System (RRS), which mechanically reduces the weapon's cyclic rate of fire (ROF) below the 700 rpm threshold. This lowered cyclic rate significantly enhances SOAR SBRs' controllability on full-auto, allowing for precision/surgical full-auto fire during CQB / CQC (Close Quarters Battle / Close Quarters Combat). This is why the operator/instructor in the video can control the weapon so easily while firing full-auto strings with one hand, off-hand.

Ferfrans SOAR SBRs were designed and developed specifically for military Special Operations (SPECOPS) and law enforcement SWAT end users, for urban warfare, jungle warfare and CQB/CQC applications. They're ideal for Direct Action ops, Personal Security Detail (PSD) ops, and any/all other combat operations where fighting is likely to occur within medium distance.

The FERFRANS SOAR is available as either a complete weapon system or complete upper receiver assembly, depending on the customer's needs and requirements.

FERFRANS also offers direct-gas-impingement (DGI) SOAR SBRs for clients that prefer or require direct-gas-driven guns, but these models are not featured in this video.

FERFRANS SOAR rifles, carbines, and SBRs are made in the U.S.A. for domestic sale inside the U.S. and for export to ITAR-approved foreign military and law enforcement customers.

The 10.5"-barreled SOAR SBR featured in the video is outfitted with a few noteworthy tactical accessories/accoutrements:

- FERFRANS FAS (Fast Acquisition Sight) compact HUD-style red dot sight/combat optic. You can read about the FAS combat optical sight here:

- MagPul CTR Carbine Stock -- Mil-Spec Model Telescoping Buttstock with MILSPEC buffer tube. "CTR" stands for "Compact/Type Restricted".
