My video tribute to Maria's Hippie Church in South Austin, a truly wonderful way to start a week! I am so grateful to have been introduced to this celebration of spirit and wanted to let Maria know how much I appreciated her creating Hippie Church. Great music is provided for free by some of Austin's finest musicians. Since they can change from week to week I didn't get them all in here, but featured pictures include: Guy Forsyth and the Hot Nut Riveters, LZ Love and the Imperial Gold Crown Harmonizers. I encourage you to check out their websites and music for a real treat! And thanks to all the cool folk at Hippie Church for letting me take your pictures and include them in my presentation! Did you spot the Lelabear in there? (hint, I'm one of the blondes!)

FAR OUT MARIA. I have been a hippy since 1965. I have been to Woodstock, and loved it,glad I had the chance to go. Happies are a way of living . You will always be a hippy in heart and soul. I might make a trip to Austin and come to your church. Born and raised in N.Y.C I drove a horse & carriage in Central Park. I lived in both east & west village. What we need to top it all off is another Alices restaurant . Seems like a reall COOL PLACE.

I think Britain could change soon, Boots, as much of Europe is getting into Stoner Metal, and that is attracting good vibe seekers from all over. Look into it - you may find that it is a bud about to blossom.

its just a shame britain just aint tolerant towards hippies, people here believe hippies are dirty people who never wash and they believe that hippies are loons and they believe hippies are stupid who fight against supermarket chains.

That is a shame! Here in Austin we hold Hippies in pretty high regard, they're keeping it real and opening their hearts to possibilities outside this crumbling system. Hope you can come visit Hippie Church someday, it'll renew your faith in humanity!
