I want to train my two youngest cats to do this. They already will jump up onto things at the click of fingers for no other reward than petting and attention. They are very willing to please. One of our older cats has the personality for it too, she's a puppy cat and will follow you everywhere, but she's got no balance or grace.

This is pretty good for a cat. At least this is headed in a somewhat positive direction. Cats are awesome and very intelligent. One day cat agility will work. Please check out my cats trick video on my page if you get a chance

The monks whose temples were 'infested' by stray cats somewhat solved their problem by including them. They trained the cats to do tricks as well as stay out of the way or be involved. I'm sure it is not impossible, training is learning and natural to most all species. People just have to be patient and work for it, more so with cats.

It's not exactly trained to do anything. I'm sure cats can be trained to do a course, I've seen them trained to do amazing things. If mice and dogs can be trained to do an entire agility by memorization and cues, then surely someone can train their cat to actually do the course, not just chase a toy. THAT I would like to see.

@jayskova Well some dogs, like mine, their reward actually is the obstacle itself. All they need to follow is your signals

@huskymusher97 yeah..train them to be...i like independent thinkers...not ones whom are taught what to do..and cats are statisticallly smarter btw....whow this is a year old..ha to me

Play with your cat at home all you want, but don't parade them in front of other people for prizes, cash and your own sense of sick pride. You people and the cat cam make me sick. Same type of people who flaunt their children on commercials and talent shows.
u know what? cats r not stupid. if you are going 2 think that, keep it 2 yourself. :(

No one is making any claims that this is a dog. This is the way cats do it. So they do it different that a dog. Does that make any difference? It is still fun to watch them do it.
